Are you looking for a new job or a new career - part 2

by Jess Taylor (August 18, 2006)

In my last post, I posed some questions to hopefully get you thinking.  Many  people, I know, will have answered that they want to stay in the same field and are simply ready to look for a new job.

That’s the easier part -  you already have the experience and the background.  If you’re looking for a new job, the important things to keep in mind are dedication, patience and perseverance.  Make sure that you focus on your job search!  Check resources both online and off on a regular basis - daily if you’re between jobs or very serious about a new position and at least once every other week if you just want to be aware of the job market in your industry.

Good luck!

I have been teaching MS Office at Centenary,
LSUS, and at BPCC for the last 5 years - I had to take a year and half off for back surgery and I wanted to take the Microsoft office Specialist to qualify for the exam.
I am on SS disability and I think they will provide somehelp if not all with the costs. What are the costs ? when do the ADVANCED classes start…remember I have been teaching this for 5 a+ years and know the SHelly Cahman book farily weel so I don;’t need to be a a first level class , I need to be in a class that would prepare me for the Office Specialist EXAM.
